Born December 1st in Harrisburg, Arkansas
Raised: Newark, Arkansas, (that’s pronounced NEW-ARK here in the south) a little town in the North Central part of the state
Early Radio Jobs: I was first on the air mornings at KLLN FM, a station operated by students at Newark High School. The first time I was actually paid to be on the radio (what were they thinking?), was at KOKR a country station in Newport Arkansas. I read the local morning news and obituaries, went out and sold advertising during the day, then came back and dj’d the afternoon show. I’ve also been on the air at KZLE in Batesville, KFIN in Jonesboro, KSSN, KURB, KDDK, and KOLL all in Little Rock, and in one of my favorite cities Tyler, Texas at KNUE.
Jobs before Radio: I've worked in a machine shop, as a computer programmer, and enjoyed a brief career a Chicken Raker. (don’t ask)
If I weren't in radio now: I'd want to work with one of the charities you hear about on Kix 104.
Favorite Country Artists George Strait, Jimmy Buffett, Alan Jackson, Conway Twitty, Brooks and Dunn. Some new artists I'm listening to are Little Big Town, Jake Owen, Lady Antebellum
Favorite Foods: Most things Cajun, seafood, barbecue and pepperoni pizza.
Favorite Restaurants or Hang Out(s) This time of year if there's good food, a cold beverage and a patio, I'm there.
Favorite TV Shows: King of the Hill, Boston Legal, Andy Griffith, David Letterman
Favorite Movies: Friday Night Lights, Hoosiers, Slingblade, Anchorman
Other stuff I enjoy: Watching the Hogs, fishing, cooking...and did I mention WOO PIG SOOOIEEE!
